Sarah Stephens graduated with a BMus(Hons) from the University of Birmingham in 2004, and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Vocal Studies at Birmingham Conservatoire in 2006 for which she was awarded a Distinction.

Sarah is in demand as a soloist and currently enjoys a busy and varied schedule of engagements ranging from oratorio work, concerts and recitals, to weddings, corporate functions and charity events. Sarah has performed throughout the country including at York Minster,  Birmingham Symphony Hall, Westminster Abbey and The Royal Albert Hall. Her recent recordings include In the Living Years with The Soldiers and Mike Rutherford which was released in October 2012 to raise money for 'Help the Heroes'.

Sarah performs as guest soloist with many choirs in the Midlands, as well as for gala events and regularly on radio broadcasts such as the BBC Radio Leicester Carol Service. She enjoys performing a mixed repertoire including opera, lieder, oratorio and songs from the shows. Recent oratorio work includes: Beethoven Mass in C, Dvorak Te Deum, Rutter Mass of the Children and Magnificat, Mozart Requiem, Karl Jenkins The Armed Man, Bach Christmas Oratorio, Handel Messiah and Haydn Creation with choirs and choral societies throughout the Midlands including Leicester Philhamonic Choir, Cantamici, Newtown Linford Choral Society, Hinckley Choral Union, Kettering Camerata and the Midland Festival Chorus.  

Whilst at the Conservatoire, Sarah performed in Masterclasses with Catherine Bott, Michael Chance and Richard Jackson and was soloist in Liszt Missa Choralis and Britten Hymn to Saint Cecilia for the Conservatoire Chamber Choir under the direction of Paul Spicer and Jeffery Skidmore. Her solo work with the Birmingham University Singers includes, Handel Israel in Egypt in Birmingham Cathedral, Howells Requiem, Stanford Magnificat in G and Mendelssohn Hear My Prayer.

Sarah is a highly talented musician and has a wealth of experience as a conductor and teacher. She currently combines her singing career with classroom music teaching, private singing teaching and as a choir leader for Rock Choir, running four choirs in Leicestershire (Leicester, Lutterworth, Hinckley and Loughborough).
